Program History:

In 2011, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce took the initiative to establish the Barton County Young Professionals (BCYP) program with a group of ambitious young leaders at the forefront, recognizing the importance of nurturing and supporting the young talent within our rural community. Over the years, BCYP has been instrumental in organizing a variety of engaging events, facilitating networking opportunities, spearheading successful fundraisers, and mobilizing volunteer efforts.

Fast forward to January 2024, and BCYP is undergoing an exciting transformation into FUEL Barton County. FUEL, which stands for Focus, Unite, Engage, Lead, is committed to bridging the gap between seasoned professionals and emerging talent, and being part of the conversation as it relates to not only attracting and retaining young talent but also fostering meaningful connections among current industry leaders.

We invite individuals and businesses alike to join us in these conversations, connect with FUEL, and play an active role in shaping the future of Barton County’s professional landscape. With the launch of FUEL, we’re poised to enhance membership benefits, deepen community engagement, and strengthen partnerships to better servethe needs of Barton County’s rising talent.
